Nantwich Easter Raffle Helps Raise Money for Local Senior Citizens Club

This entry was posted in March 28, 2024

In celebration of the Easter season, Ableworld Nantwich hosted a raffle a hamper up for grabs for the winner. The raffle lasted several weeks and then on Tuesday the 26th March a winner was announced.

The hamper was won Alison who was delighted with the news, especially as she knew the money raised, was going to a worthy cause.

An incredible £230 was raised for the Nantwich Luncheon club, this means everyone who attends the Luncheon club next month (April) will get to enjoy a FREE hot meal funded by our Ableworld raffle. Two staff members Julie and Leslie Ann attended the Luncheon Club to present the organisers with their money.

The Luncheon Club were delighted with the contribution and thanked Ableworld Nantwich for their kind donation. They also wanted to thank everyone who participated in the raffle, the money raised wouldn’t have been possible if it wasn’t for the kindness of Ableworld customers.

The Luncheon Club is hosted by a group of volunteers, who provide the over 55's with an opportunity to socialise with like minded people. The aim, to help tackle isolation and loneliness that effects so many people within this age demographic, they provide an incredible service that Ableworld are proud to help support.

A huge well done Ableworld Nantwich, we look forward to seeing who they raise money and awareness for in the future.

Ableworld Nantwich Visit Beatty Court Retirement Home

This entry was posted in August 8, 2023

Ableworld Nantwich visited Beatty Court retirement home at the end of July, with the help of Karen from Ableworld Crewe and engineer Jake, they managed to put on a successful event

A large number of products were on show at the event with many of them being everyday products that can help people lead more independent lives. It was a great turn out with many people interested in what Ableworld had to offer.

It wasn’t just the smaller products that Ableworld had on display, with the help of our engineer Jake, we managed to provide some larger products that visitors could have a demo of. These included the Sit and Stroll Walker, an A-Fold Walker and the Q50 R Carbon-Fibre Powerchair.

Ableworld Nantwich were happy to see the interest in the Q50 R was still there, as it lets us know what customers are searching for in their mobility aids. Obviously, the Q50 R’s lightweight features offer many benefits to its users such as ease of transport and strong and durable frame, making it the perfect travelling partner.

Along with its ability to fold down into a manageable size in a matter of seconds, meaning it may be stores in convenient places such as the car without taking up too much room.

The Q50R was one of many mobility aids they demonstrated to visitors at the event, it was great to see so much engagement with our engineer as well who managed to take a look at mobility aids owned by the residents.

The success of the event has inspired Ableworld Nantwich and Crewe to pursue more opportunities for events in and around the area, including Audlem, Market Drayton and Sandbach. So, if you are in these areas keep an eye for potential events hosted by us here at Ableworld. Lastly, Ableworld Nantwich wish to thank everyone at Beatty Court for being so welcoming and allowing them to showcase their services.

Nantwich Easter Raffle

This entry was posted in May 2, 2023

Ableworld Nantwich were delighted to host a raffle this Easter, in an attempt to raise as much money as possible for their chosen charity. Not to blow our own trumpet but we created a beautiful hamper that we knew anyone would be happy to win! Welcoming in Spring with style this year, it was the pick me up we all needed after what felt like such a long winter.

It was great to see so many people participating in our raffle, creating that community spirit that we wanted as we attempted to raise money for a great cause. Days went by, raffle tickets were sold, then finally it was time to choose a winner.

But hold on! The winner was not chosen by just anyone! We had two lovely young volunteers, that obliged in our request to pick out the winner of our luxurious hamper. The two volunteers were gracious in their roles and picked out a name with style. We want to thank our two amazing volunteers for outing on a great show!!

Our winner for the Ableworld Nantwich easter Raffle was announced as Mrs Moodie a regular in our store. Mrs Moodie was delighted to accept the Hamper, and will be donating the easter eggs that came with it to a local children’s nursery in town.

It was a fantastic raffle its great to see the type of community we have here at Ableworld Nantwich. We managed to raise a total of £163 for the Woodeaves care home! Its such a fantastic amount we couldn’t be happier, a huge thank you to everyone for taking part.

Woodeaves do a tremendous job providing care and support to those who can no longer manage on their own. Its an important job and one we wish to support in any way we can, we wish to thank the staff of Woodeaves for the important work that they do.

We hope our small contribution means that they get to carry on doing such an incredible job!

Make sure you keep an eye out on our Facebook Page to see any more fundraising opportunities that we will do throughout the year.

Our stores across the nation took a pro active role in the Random Act of Kindness day 17th February. Our stores gave out small gifts ranging from flowers to chocolates to randomly selected customers from their stores, it was amazing to be able to put a smile on so many people’s faces!

We love creating strong bonds with our customers and Ableworld wanted an excuse to spoil our customers and really aim to make someone’s day. Afterall, who doesn’t love flowers or chocolates!

Our Nantwich store wanted to add an extra little gift to a customers purchase when Mrs. Bennet bought a Rio powerchair from our store. Mrs. Bennet along with her husband Mr. Bennet received a delicious box of chocolates and a beautiful bouquet of flowers. They were overjoyed to receive such wonderful gifts, and it manage to make our day here at Ableworld Nantwich.

Even though he won’t be able to enjoy the chocolates, the flowers will hopefully add a little bit of love and beauty into their home. Here at Ableworld Nantwich we want to say a big thank you, to Mr. and Mrs. bennet for being wonderful customers, our hope is that our relationship continues to grow and prosper.
